On 13th October, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) granted consent for Microsoft Corporation to acquire Activision Blizzard, Inc., excluding Activision’s non-EEA cloud streaming rights.
The decision, which enables the US$68.7 billion acquisition by Microsoft to proceed, follows the CMA’s investigation and original decision to block the transaction in April 2023.
