The Investigatory Powers Tribunal has handed down a decision concerning the confidentiality of a complaint issued by Apple relating to the Respondent’s powers to issue technical capability notices under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016.

The Tribunal rejected the Respondent’s application for the fact or details of the claim, or the identity of the parties to the claim, to be private and not to be disclosed on grounds of national security.
