An independent Premier League Appeal Board has dismissed appeals by Leicester City and the Premier League against an independent Premier League Commission’s decision by which it had recommended that an immediate six-point deduction be applied to Leicester City FC in the Championship for a breach of the EFL’s 2023/24 Profitability and Sustainability Rules. The issues decided by the Appeal Board included: (i) the scope of a Premier League Commission’s powers to recommend a points deduction in the Championship, (ii) the correct approach to the calculation of the points deduction and alternative fine, and (iii) the correct approach to aggravating factors.

The decision can be found here.
