The High Court today dismissed ClientEarth’s renewed oral application to bring a claim against the Directors of Shell Plc of breaches of duty in relation to Shell’s climate change risk management strategy. The Court held that ClientEarth had failed to demonstrate that it had a prima facie case; and that the case was not brought in good faith, within the meaning of the relevant provisions of the Companies Act 2006.
