Al-Libi v The Home Office

Mr Justice Chamberlain has given judgment in Al-Libi dealing with the search and removal of privileged material from the safe of a Special Advocate. The Court criticised the conduct of the Security and Intelligence Services, the Government Legal Department and the Special Advocates’ Support Office. The Court also gave guidance on the procedure to be followed by Special Advocates when they wish to rely on information obtained from other cases.
