AB v Secretary of State for Defence and others

On 29 July 2024, Mrs Justice Lang DBE granted permission to bring judicial review proceedings against the Secretary of State for Defence and the Secretary of State for Foreign Commonwealth and Development Affairs in relation to the relocation of AB and his family. During the Afghan Republic, AB had worked alongside the UK government.

The case was scheduled to proceed to a full hearing on an expedited basis. However, following the judge’s decision, steps were taken to secure AB and his family’s relocation.

Naina Patel represented AB in the successful Court proceedings, instructed by Bindmans. AB was previously also represented by George Molyneaux.
