During the current phase of our major building works, Blackstone Chambers is accessible in the following ways:
Wheelchair platforms are available at both our main entrance (off Temple Place) and at the rear entrance in Essex Street. There is a platform for access to our ground and lower ground floors from our main entrance, and to our second floor from Essex Street.
A passenger lift is available for access to all floors in the building.
There are four accessible toilets in Chambers, spread across the six levels.
We also temporarily occupy (during the building programme) an annex on Essex Street. This cannot be adapted for disabled access.
Many people with disabilities can find websites difficult to use simply because of the way they are designed and built. Blackstone Chambers is committed to providing an accessible website.
We have built our pages to be compatible with adaptive technologies used by disabled people, and we ensure that hyperlinks clearly describe where they go. Our website has been built to conform to at least the AA standard of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Most pages on this website conform to the AAA standard.

Making changes to your operating system
We try to ensure that link text makes sense out of context and that it accurately describes the pages it points to. You can use the tab key on your keyboard (as well as your mouse) to move consecutively from link to link.
A description of every image is provided, either in the alt tag or on the page itself.
Some of the information on our website is in Portable Document Format (PDF). You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read PDF files. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free from the Adobe website.
We welcome your feedback on how you find using the site. If you find something difficult to see or use, we might be able to help. We are committed to improving the accessibility of the site.
